The PromiseNet headquarters for 2014 will be the Omni New Haven Hotel, located in the heart of downtown. Those who book before Thursday, October 30, will receive a special PromiseNet rate of $179 per night.

At New Haven Promise, we have a special place in our hearts for the Omni, as the hotel is the host site of our annual Scholar Celebration. We welcomed our 2014 cohort before 650 scholars and supporters in August. (Please take a look.)

In addition to being in the heart of it all, the Omni (155 Temple Street) features a fantastic top-floor restaurant and bar — John Davenport’s — which provides not just great food and drink, but great views of the Elm City. The Omni also sits in the middle of the most popular dining and night spots, which have given New Haven its claim as “the Greatest Small City in America.”

There are three other hotels downtown within walking distance of the famed New Haven Green, the Omni, Yale University and the Yale School of Management, where some of the PromiseNet activities will take place.

The Study (1157 Chapel Street) is perhaps the priciest option. Once known as The Colony, it has scaled up and has a hipster restaurant — Heirloom at The Study — to boot. An additional option is the New Haven Hotel (229 George Street).
